Chicagoan Chrissy Murderbot, a highly acclaimed juke connoisseur and junglist innovator, is spreading to other continents like crazy in 2013.
Chris is now presenting his All Right EP on Russian label Hyperboloid.
A couple of the new EP's tracks have already gotten some air time: the ominous banger “Alright” combines succulent bassline-wrapped amen breaks with bouncy footwork feel, and “Hornet’s Nest (Call My Name)” is a quasi-r&b popsicle melting in woozy acidic bass with a chopped vocal sample from Prince’s “Gett Off”. The EP also includes the brand new leg-twister “Bay Bay”, in Murderbot’s trademark soulful style. The cherries on top of this juke-o-thon are eclectic remixes from San Diego producers Calculon and Austin Speed and Tuff Wax Recs founder Lockah from Scotland.
